These super crispy Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts have become my go-to side dish recipe for quick and easy dinners! I add Parmesan and balsamic for the most delicious flavor, but this recipe is so versatile when it comes to seasonings and add-ins. Cooking brussels sprouts in my Air Fryer is so fast (12 minutes), I never have to worry about last-minute side dishes again!

A bowl of crispy Air Fryer Brussels sprouts with balsamic and parmesan.

My Air Fryer has become my favorite kitchen appliance over the last few years because it makes it so easy to cook quick, healthy, and easy dishes. And this Air Fryer Brussels sprouts recipe is the perfect example! It’s basically 2 steps to make this crispy veggie side dish (toss and cook), and the balsamic glaze just makes them unbelievably tasty.

Ingredients for Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts

  • Brussels Sprouts: Fresh or frozen Brussels sprouts, trimmed and cut in half.
  • Olive Oil: Helps the sprouts cook and makes them crispy. Another high smoke point oil will work too.
  • Seasonings: A simple mix of garlic and onion powder, plus salt and pepper, is all you need.
  • Balsamic Glaze: This adds a sweet and tangy finish for serving. Skip if you prefer.
  • Parmesan: Freshly grated Parmesan makes them a little cheesy.

Feel free to toss in some cooked bacon crumbles, feta or another cheese instead of Parmesan, or drizzle with honey or maple syrup instead of balsamic. Or if you want to change up the seasonings, try swapping in a seasoning mix like ranch mix, Italian seasoning, or Herbes de Provence.

Tips to Make ’em Crispy

The secret to good Brussels sprouts is all in the texture! There’s nothing worse than soggy sprouts, but that’s not a problem here. Cooking Brussels sprouts in the Air Fryer is a great way to get the same crispy texture you’d get from roasting them in the oven, but this method is so much faster.

Cutting Brussels sprouts in half (or quarters) ensures that the center gets soft and tender, while the outside gets a caramelized and slightly crunchy finish without burning.

Fully coating them in cooking oil also helps to crisp everything up, and I always shake up my Air Fryer basket about halfway through to make sure every side is exposed to the circulating heat.

And my final (or maybe first) tip: be sure to fully dry your sprouts after washing so there’s no extra moisture, which will create a steaming effect instead of “frying”.

How to Store and Reheat

Store leftover Brussels sprouts in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze for 3 months. Fully thaw in the fridge after freezing.

I recommend reheating these Brussels sprouts in the Air Fryer to crisp them back up. 5 minutes in the fryer at 350°F should do the trick!

Serving Suggestions

It’s so convenient being able to cook these balsamic Brussels sprouts in the Air Fryer in just 15 minutes while I get dinner ready. They pair so well with any main dish, but I love matching them with honey balsamic chicken or Parmesan pork chops. Because they get crisp like fries, they also make a healthy balance for stovetop burgers or crispy chicken sandwiches!

Air Fryer Hamburgers are a quick and easy dinner that I love to make for my kids and family any day of the week! These tasty air fryer burgers cook so fast, and they come out juicy and delicious. At our house we always make them cheeseburgers, but either way, these burgers are ready to serve in 15 minutes!

air fryer burger on a plate

We are a big fan of burgers at our house, and these air fryer hamburgers are one of my favorite Air Fryer dinners. They’re so perfectly juicy with a nice crispy outside and they are big on flavor. Just add a slice of cheese to make cheeseburgers if you prefer!

What’s in This Air Fryer Hamburger Recipe?

  • Ground Beef: I like to use 80% lean beef for my burgers, but you can use whatever you prefer.
  • Worcestershire Sauce: Adds a salty and umami flavor to the burgers.
  • Spices: Garlic powder, kosher salt, and ground black pepper enhance the natural flavor of the meat.
  • Cheddar Cheese: Turns these burgers into cheeseburgers! Feel free to use American, Swiss, or any other cheese you love instead.

Tips for Success

  • Preheat your air fryer before adding the burgers so that they cook through evenly.
  • Don’t overwork the burger mixture with your hands as this can cause them to become tough and chewy.
  • Try this burger seasoning recipe in place of the salt, pepper, and garlic powder for even more flavor! I always have some on hand.
  • There’s no need to flip these burgers since the air fryer is designed to circulate around the entire burger.
  • If you’re worried about making a mess, try using paper or reusable air fryer liners. If using a liner, I do recommend flipping the burgers halfway through cooking to ensure an even cook.
  • If cooking burgers from frozen, they’ll need an extra 5-10 minutes of cook time.
  • Let the burgers rest for a couple of minutes before serving so the juices redistribute.
  • It’s so easy to change up this hamburger recipe by adding different toppings! Try air fryer bacon, caramelized onions, guacamole, arugula, or even pimento cheese! Add a delicious sauce, like barbecue sauce, ranch, Buffalo sauce, or garlic aioli for even more flavor!

How to Store and Reheat

Store air fryer hamburgers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days or in the freezer for up to 4 months. Separate the burgers with parchment paper to keep them from sticking. Let thaw overnight in the refrigerator before reheating in a 400°F air fryer for 3-4 minutes.

Serving Suggestions

I like to serve these air fryer hamburgers in nice soft hamburger buns with burger sauce and fresh toppings like lettuce, tomato, red onion, and pickles. You can also keep them low-carb by serving them in a lettuce wrap.

Serve these burgers with your favorite sides like air fryer French fries, sweet potato fries, creamy coleslaw, or potato salad.

Fun Burger Night Ideas

Burger night doesn’t have to be only for the typical hamburgers. These burger-inspired ideas are always fun to eat!

  • Patty Melt: This classic dinner food is the perfect combo of a grilled cheese and hamburger patty, plus sweet caramelized onions, all on rye bread.
  • Cheeseburger Bombs: I stuffed biscuit dough with beef, cheese, bacon, and all the best burger toppings, then baked everything together. Every bite is a true delight!

Burger Topping Ideas

My favorite thing about making hamburgers is actually the toppings. What you put on the burger is just as important as what goes in them, and I love that everyone can make theirs unique just by changing the toppings. Here are some fun ideas:

  • Lettuce: use leaves of romaine, baby spinach, shredded lettuce, or another green.
  • Tomatoes: Fresh slices of juicy tomatoes pair perfectly with beef, chicken, or turkey.
  • Cheese: You can’t go wrong with classic cheddar, but Swiss, pepper jack, or your favorite cheese all work.
  • Onions: Red onions add bite, but sweeter onions are tasty too. Or go for caramelized onions!
  • Condiments: Top your burgers with ketchup, mayonnaise, dijon, or classic yellow mustard.
  • Sauces: But don’t stop there–try them with BBQ sauce, garlic aioli, pesto, buffalo sauce, or the best burger sauce!
  • Bacon: Add slices of bacon to these cheeseburger and hamburger recipes for ultimate flavor. Or use bacon crumbles.
  • Pickles: Use bread and butter, dill, or any style of pickles you like! Try these refrigerator pickles or ranch fried pickles. Or opt for fresh pickle relish instead.
  • Pineapple: Grilled pineapple slices add a sweet and fruity twist to burgers that complements chicken and beef really well.
Three cheeseburgers and French fries on a serving platter.
Burgers and Fries

Side Dishes for Burgers

Burgers and fries are the most classic combo, so I never forget to add some homemade French fries, shoestring fries, or sweet potato fries to dinner. But there are plenty of other side dishes to choose from too. Corn on the cob, coleslaw, and potato salad are perfect for potlucks and cookouts. I make grilled veggies or zucchini fries for a healthier option. Baked beans or any of these BBQ side dishes are always a good pairing with these burger recipes. And my kids especially love when I add creamy mac and cheese or tater tots the dinner table.

  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Place an oven-safe bowl directly underneath the air fryer inlay or grid so that it's very close to the heating element. This will help the steak build a nice crispy crust as it cooks. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F for about 5 minutes.

  • Remove them from the heat when they are about 5° below your preferred temperature because the internal temperature will continue to rise as the steaks rest. This helps ensure they reach the perfect doneness.**
  • Let them rest for 5 minutes. Resting allows the juices to redistribute, ensuring a juicy and tender steak with a crispy crust.

  • Slice the steaks against the grain for the most tender bite. This cuts the long, stringy fibers in the steak that can make it chewy.

Notes

*Look for a steak with plenty of marbling for the most tender result. The fat helps insulate the meat from the dangers of overcooking. Sirloin is a bit leaner while ribeye has more fat marbling.

Prep your Air Fryer: Preheat the air fryer to 400°F for 5 minutes and place an oven-safe bowl directly underneath the air fryer basket or grid so it is close to the heating element.

A piece of seasoned ribeye steak on a white plate.

Prep the Steak: Pat the steak dry with paper towels and season both sides generously with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper. Ensure even coverage.

An air fryer with a steak in it.

Cook the Steak: Place the seasoned steak in the preheated air fryer basket in an even, single layer. Cook for 10-12 minutes for medium-rare, flipping the steaks halfway through. Adjust the cooking time to achieve your preferred level of doneness (see notes).

Sliced steak on a wooden cutting board.

Let the steak rest: Remove the steaks from the air fryer and let sit for 5 minutes. Resting allows the juices to redistribute, ensuring a juicy and tender steak with a crispy crust.

Slice and serve: Slice the steaks against the grain for the most tender bite. Serve and enjoy!

How to Store and Reheat

Store leftover air fryer steak in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. I think they are best enjoyed cold the next day, but you can reheat them in a 350°F air fryer for 3-5 minutes, flipping once.

Freeze steak in an airtight container for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator before enjoying.

Make the steaks up to 4 days ahead of time and store them in the fridge.

Serving Suggestions

I’m a big lover of steak frites, so I love to serve this juicy air-fried steak with air fryer french fries and ketchup. The salty, starchy fries are the perfect side for a meaty dish like this. Or I add some air fried Brussels sprouts to get some veggies in.

Or swap out the seasonings to change up the flavor–no matter what you’ll end up with a healthy, crispy, and tasty side!

What’s in this Air Fryer Asparagus Recipe?

  • Asparagus: You’ll need one bunch for this recipe. Make sure to trim off the woody ends of the stalks.
  • Olive Oil: Helps the asparagus crisp up in the air fryer.
  • Spices: Garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper add so much flavor!
  • Parmesan Cheese: Adds a salty and umami finish to the asparagus.

Notes From the Test Kitchen

To trim asparagus, grab a stalk with one hand at each end. Gently bend the asparagus spear; the woody end should naturally snap off. Keep in mind that the cooking time will vary based on thickness, so check on the asparagus often to prevent burning.

Variations on Asparagus in the Air Fryer

There are so many easy ways to change up the flavor of this asparagus to go with any meal!

  • Make it Spicy: Add crushed red pepper flakes or a pinch of cayenne.
  • Make it Sweet: Drizzle with honey or maple syrup.
  • Make it Umami: Top with bacon crumbles.
  • Add Some Acid: Drizzle with balsamic vinegar or balsamic glaze.
  • Asian-Inspired: Use sesame oil instead of olive oil, omit the Italian seasoning, and add a splash of soy sauce.
  • Mexican-Inspired: Swap the Italian seasoning for taco seasoning and top with queso fresco.
  • French-Inspired: Swap the Italian seasoning for herbs de Provence and finish with a pat of butter.

Is all asparagus the same?

Asparagus most commonly is green, and some varieties are white and even purple. They can all be used interchangeably in this recipe.

How do you trim asparagus?

To trim asparagus, grab a stalk with one hand at each end. Gently bend the asparagus spear, and the woody end should naturally snap off.

Should you soak fresh asparagus before cooking?

While you should definitely rinse your asparagus to clean off any dirt or residue, there’s no need to soak them before cooking. In fact, soaking them could make it more difficult for them to crisp up in the air fryer.

air fryer chickpeas on a baking sheet with a spoon.

Why We Love This Air Fryer Chickpeas Recipe

Simply seasoned and air fried to perfection, these air fryer chickpeas are a crispy snack that’ll keep you coming back for more!

  • Easy. Precooked, canned chickpeas make this snack super simple to make.
  • Crunchy. The air fryer makes the crispiest chickpeas you’ve ever had!
  • Flavorful. A combination of paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper creates a crave-able flavor!

Variations on Air Fried Chickpeas

The included recipe is just one idea for how to season these crispy chickpeas. Feel free to get creative and use your favorite seasoning blends, like Creole seasoning, ranch, chili seasoning, everything bagel seasoning, Italian seasoning, or taco seasoning.

You can also make these chickpeas sweet by tossing them with a little bit of brown sugar and cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice. I recommend using vegetable oil or coconut oil for sweet chickpeas instead of olive oil.

crispy chickpeas in an air fryer basket.

How to Store

Store leftover air fryer chickpeas in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week. I do not recommend freezing them.

Serving Suggestions

Serve these tasty chickpeas drizzled with a delicious sauce, like yum yum sauce, garlic aioli, balsamic glaze, fry sauce, honey mustard, ranch, Buffalo sauce, or sweet and sour sauce.

They’re also great added to Italian pasta salad, Panzanella, chicken salad, or a chopped salad for a nice crunch!

Are chickpeas and garbanzo beans the same?

Yes! They are simply different terms that refer to the same thing!

Can I make this recipe with dried chickpeas?

Yes, but you’ll need to cook them beforehand!

Are chickpeas good for diabetics?

Yes! Chickpeas are high in fiber and protein and can help regulate blood sugar levels.

Why are my chickpeas popping in the air fryer?

Cooked chickpeas contain moisture, so they will sometimes pop in the air fryer as that moisture escapes. This is totally normal; just be careful when you shake them!

Why are my chickpeas not crispy?

If your chickpeas are too moist or coated in too much oil, they may not turn out crispy. I recommend patting the chickpeas dry after draining them and making sure not to use too much oil to ensure crisp chickpeas.

Easy to make Air Fryer BBQ Chicken is the best quick fix for a protein-packed weeknight dinner! Chicken breasts are seasoned with a mouthwatering medley of spices before being air fried to juicy perfection. Oh, and you can’t forget the barbeque sauce, of course!

Two Air Fryer BBQ chicken breasts on a cutting board with sauce.

What’s in this Air Fryer BBQ Chicken Breast recipe?

This BBQ chicken recipe is currently at the top of my list of favorite air fryer recipes! With simple ingredients and quick cooking time, your chicken breasts will always turn out flavorful, juicy, and fully cooked.

  • Chicken Breasts: I used boneless, skinless chicken breasts for this recipe, but you can use bone-in breasts too–just increase the cooking time.
  • Barbecue Sauce: Use any type of bbq sauce you like to get the flavor you want. For something different, use this Carolina Gold mustard sauce, or Korean BBQ sauce!
  • Olive Oil: This helps the spices attach to the chicken, and adds moisture to protect it while cooking.
  • Herbs & Spices: A mix of smoked paprika, oregano, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and salt & pepper creates a delicious spice rub that complements that barbeque flavor.

Pro Tip: For added heat, double up on the cayenne pepper and sprinkle some crushed red pepper into your spice mix.

Can I make BBQ chicken thighs in the air fryer?

Yes, you can use the same spice rub and general recipe to make either BBQ chicken breasts or thighs in your Air Fryer. If you want to use bone-in chicken thighs, cook them at 400°F skin side up for 15 minutes, then flip them skin side down and cook for another 3-4 minutes.

How to Store and Reheat

Store Air Fryer BBQ chicken in an airtight container and/or wrapped tightly in aluminum foil, and keep it in the refrigerator for 3 days. Reheat it in the Air Fryer at 375°F for about 8 minutes.

Everyone’s favorite comfort food just got even more delicious! This Air Fryer Grilled Cheese recipe is made with two types of cheese and is cooked to gooey, crispy perfection!

What’s in an Air Fryer Grilled Cheese Sandwich?

Bread, cheese, and butter are all you need, and you are on your way to perfect comfort food. Make a classic grilled cheese even easier in the air fryer!

  • Unsalted Butter: Adds a rich flavor and helps the sandwiches brown up beautifully.
  • White Sandwich Bread: A classic, tried-and-true choice for grilled cheese.
  • Cheese: I used a combination of cheddar and Swiss, but you can use your favorites! American is the classic choice.

Pro Tip: Try swapping the butter for mayonnaise!

Variations on Grilled Cheese in the Air Fryer

Once you get the basics down, you can make this sandwich just about any way you like. Some classic choices to add are sliced tomatoes, air fryer bacon, caramelized onions, roasted red peppers, or basil. For a heartier sandwich, try adding pulled pork, grilled chicken, or barbacoa beef.

Try slathering the inside of the sandwich bread with garlic aioli, BBQ sauce, honey mustard, Buffalo sauce, or pesto to amp up the flavor even more!

step by step photos for how to make air fryer grilled cheese.
Can you make grilled cheese in an air fryer?

You sure can! And let me tell you, it might just be better than the original!

How healthy is grilled cheese?

This is not a health food! While cheese is a good source of protein and calcium, these sandwiches are high in carbs, saturated fat, sodium, and cholesterol. Enjoy them in moderation as part of a balanced diet.

What cheese tastes best on grilled cheese?

I make these with cheddar and Swiss cheese slices. I find that sliced cheese creates a super even filling, but you can use shredded if you prefer. You can make these with other cheeses too, as long as they are quite melty. Jack or mozzarella would work well.

What’s the best bread to use?

For me, run-of-the-mill white sliced bread is perfect for the most comforting grilled cheese, but you can of course make these with whatever you have to hand. Whole wheat or sourdough both work great. I have a recipe for sandwich bread if you want to try your hand at something fully homemade!

Why doesn’t my cheese melt in the air fryer?

If your cheese isn’t melting, make sure it is sliced thin enough. Thick slices will not melt well in the air fryer, and pre-shredded cheese also takes much longer to melt.

How to Store and Reheat

Store leftover air fryer grilled cheese in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a 350°F air fryer for 3-5 minutes.

How to Freeze

Place sandwiches in a single layer on a lined baking sheet and place in the freezer until solid, about 1-2 hours. Transfer to an airtight container or Ziplock bag with parchment or wax paper between sandwiches to store for up to 3 months. Air fry directly from frozen for 5-10 minutes.

Serving Suggestions

This recipe is almost perfect just by itself for a light lunch, or serve it up with some tomato soup, cabbage soup, buttered egg noodles, or a fresh Olive Garden salad. For something a bit more filling and carb-heavy, it’s great to serve with some shoestring fries.

What’s in this Snow Crab Legs recipe?

Whether you have a stock pot, an Instant Pot, or an Air Fryer, you can make perfect crab legs with just a few simple ingredients!

  • Snow Crab Legs: These have sweet and delicate crab meat, and are known for their exceptionally long legs and tender flesh. They’re the most affordable type at most grocery stores, and are typically sold in clusters (so multiple legs in one!).
  • Lemon: Has an acidic and citrusy flavor that complements the sweetness of the crab meat.
  • Unsalted Butter: Has a rich and creamy flavor that enhances the natural sweetness of the crab meat.
  • Seafood Seasoning: A blend of various herbs and spices, like paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and sometimes cayenne pepper, that enhance the flavor of the crab.

Fun Fact: Crab legs can only be sold live or cooked. When you buy crab legs at the store, they are cooked, frozen, and thawed. So we’re really just reheating them!

Variations on Crab Legs

Learning how to cook crab legs is so easy and straightforward, you’ll be able to make some simple variations as you please. Use this recipe to cook Snow Crab, King Crab, or Dungeness Crab Legs. You can change up the flavor by using a different seasonings, like Creole seasoning or blackened seasoning, or by adding some minced garlic and herbs to the butter.

What is Snow Crab?

Snow crab is a type of crab with long limbs, much like King Crab. It has a sweet, slightly briny flavor and a firm texture.

Can I use this recipe for Dungeness or King Crab?

You sure can! Depending on the size, the legs may take slightly longer to cook.

What’s the best way to thaw frozen crab legs?

The best way to thaw frozen crab legs is to place them in the refrigerator overnight. This allows them to thaw slowly and safely. You can also place them in a sealed Ziplock bag submerged in cold water for about 30-60 minutes to thaw them more quickly.

Do you need to separate the legs before cooking them?

No! Crab legs can be cooked in clusters, as the shells will separate easily after cooking. However, you can separate the legs with kitchen shears or a sharp knife if you prefer.

How do you remove the meat from crab legs?

To remove the meat from crab legs, you can use kitchen shears or a crab cracker to crack the shells and expose the meat. Gently pull the meat out with your fingers or a small fork.

How to Store and Reheat

Store leftover crab legs in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

To reheat, steam or microwave them until heated through. Be careful not to overcook them, as they can become tough and rubbery.

How to Freeze

Freeze crab legs in an airtight container or wrapped tightly in plastic wrap for up to 3 months. Let thaw overnight in the refrigerator before reheating.

How to Serve Crab Legs

Serve these snow crab legs simply with melted butter and lemon wedges. After cracking the shells and pulling out the meat, you can squeeze lemon juice on top, then dip the meat into butter, and eat. It’s a true delicacy! They also taste great with garlic aioli, or try tartar sauce, cocktail sauce, or bang bang sauce.

Make it a full meal by pairing them with corn on the cob, coleslaw, roasted potatoes, sautéed vegetables, crusty bread, Hawaiian rolls, or a fresh salad.
