Hi Ida, it depends on the variety. Some are better suited for fragrance and do not taste great. We recommend culinary or English lavender.

Hi Cynthia, lavender is a unique flavor, so we definitely recommend trying out a few different steep times to find the flavor balance you personally love! We’re happy to hear you enjoyed it!

It was very strong. Next time, I will only steep 1/2 hour or less. I also had to add more sugar. The purple food coloring worked well.4 stars

My only change was that I let the lavender steep all night, basically out of necessity. I didn’t use the food coloring.5 stars

I DON’T recommend using food coloring though. If you do, then maybe only use a pure purple. Don’t use blue, or blue+red. Mixing only blue will make it bright green, due to the harsh yellow of the fresh lemon juice. Attempting to cancel out the green with some red turns it a muddy gray. My pitcher looks like dark gross paint water now :'( What a waste.4 stars
