WE HAVE BEEN MARRIED 45 YEARS….THAT’S A LOT OF SOUP. I ADDED 2 TBS OF CORN STARCH TO THICKEN AND USED MILK INSTEAD OF CREAM TO CUT SOME CALORIES. THE SUB MAY HAVE MADE THE DIFFERENCE IN THE THICKNESS. YUM!!!!

I made it gluten free by using some of the milk (used whipping cream and milk for half and half) and cornstarch in a slurry. Needed more vegetables so added 2 cups of frozen peas, corn and green beans and cooked it about 35 minutes. It was very good.5 stars

Hi Linda, half-and-half is a dairy product (similar to heavy cream) that is lower in fat! It is essentially equal parts milk and cream.
